BIO
How did you get to where you are professionally?
My professional career came through hard work, consistency, and discipline. If you limit your thinking, you limit your goals, which limits your accomplishments. You will never know what you are capable of unless you push yourself to do better and to be better. Having the right mind set coupled with a great support system has been the contributing factors to my successful and professional career. Surrounding myself with like minded people helped me to stay focused on my goals. I have been blessed to have a great support system with my wife, my family, and with an inner circle of friends that encouraged me not to quit when I wanted to give up. Choose trustworthy and supportive people that you can be vulnerable with and that will hold you accountable in all areas of your life. Learn from your mistakes, make the necessary shifts, and celebrate the small wins.
What are the top 3 accomplishments of your professional life?
1. Running and managing two successful businesses with my wife and business partner Jane.
2. Earning my bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and getting my California certification in Home Inspection.
3. Living out my dream as a real estate investor, I have been able to provide real solutions for homeowners in distressed situations. Serving them with a genuine heart and providing them with valuable information has been a huge blessing for me.
Consider where your personal, and professional philosophies intersect and how this has influenced your career path?
My faith in God as well as being raised with good moral values have been major influencers in my career path. I’ve always been eager to learn and to better myself through education, training, and reading. I believe in treating others as you would like them to treat you, with respect. I consider myself to be trustworthy, honest, dependable and a great team player. I believe that striving for more in a positive way is essential to living a productive and fulfilling life, as long as it doesn’t hurt you or others negatively. Also being open to others opinions, listening to constructive criticism and having positive mentors in my life has reflected in who I am today as well as my work ethics.
What would you do even if you were not getting paid to do it?
Furniture builder. I’ve always had a passion for designing and creating furniture out of wood.
I find it fascinating to see how a piece of furniture starts with a vision and how it evolves through the design stages to a finished product.
Share 1 piece of advice that has shaped you to become more successful or more polished in any area of life. Examples: (not limited to) Physically, emotionally, spiritually, or financially.
I am a true believer of the saying, “Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future”. Don’t be afraid to purge negative people from your life. Negative people are toxic and detrimental to your personal growth and to your state of mind. Also, learn to set boundaries with those you don’t trust. Surround yourself with like minded people who will lift you up and encourage you to be your best self.
